Known for his intelligent and communicative interpretations and as a critically acclaimed Beethoven interpreter who has completed the nine-recital Beethoven cycle at the Wigmore Hall, Welsh pianist Llŷr Williams will open the South Bank International Piano Series. A former BBC Radio 3 Young Generations Artist and YCAT musician, he is now Artist-in-Association at the Royal Welsh School of Music and Drama. One can only look forward to his programme of works by Beethoven, Schumann and Brahms, none of which have been performed before at Breinton.
Welsh pianist Llŷr Williams is widely admired for his profound musical intelligence and the expressive and communicative nature of his interpretations. He has worked with orchestras including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Phiharmonic, BBC Philharmonic, Hallé Orchestra, Sinfonia Cymru, I Pomeriggi Musicali, Meininger Hofkapelle, Berner Kammerorchester, and the Mozarteum Orchestra in Salzburg.

If you are unable to attend a recital that you have booked and paid for, we may be able to help you transfer your tickets to another member. If we successfully transfer your ticket to another member, an administrative charge equal to 30% of the ticket price will be payable.
