Since the formation of Breinton Recital Society in the spring of 2009, we have provided top quality concerts by world-class classical music performers. What started out as casual, small musical gatherings, with an audience made up of family, friends and neighbours, soon turned into a significant concert venue for many music enthusiasts, not only from Woking and neighbouring areas, but also more recently from all over UK!

Our regular season consists of six to seven recitals per year from early autumn through early summer. However we occasionally throw in 'surprise’ one-off concerts which are enthusiastically received and extremely well attended. It is our aim to make all our events intimate and friendly to everyone who attends; and also open, accessible and inviting to anyone who is interested in classical music. Many people come to us for a special, whole evening experience – on top of the excellent music, there is the opportunity for relaxed and friendly conversations with fellow members during the interval, and interaction with the musicians after the performance. And, we serve light refreshments and drinks during the interval and after the performance. Our unique 'recital room’ means that you will be sitting so close to the performers; you can feel and witness all the excitement including their expressions, breathing and humming! And let’s not forget, our musicians truly enjoy performing for us too.

All the musicians are carefully hand-picked for our audience. They are engaged to provide an exciting and interesting programme, which no doubt satisfies the thirst of our members. Please read more about our past seasons, find out about musicians, and visit the gallery of photographs.

Breinton Recital Society is a registered charity, number 1151972, and is governed by a Constitution with Officers and a Committee elected annually by the members. The Society is a member of Making Music – the national federation of music societies. Making Music has advised us on the structure of our Society and on the wording of the Constitution and also supports our activities by providing insurance cover and a network to contact performers.
